Lot Min & Max Length

The online min/max length feature allows you to define the minimum and maximum equipment length limits for your online lots.

This ensures that your online clients are only able to book lots that are appropriately sized for their RVs, trailers, or other camping equipment ensuring a better fit for their needs.

Example

Let’s say you have a lot that is 30 feet long. And you want to make sure that guests with very small RVs don’t reserve this larger lot unnecessarily, leaving smaller lots unused.

To do this, you can set:

• Minimum equipment length: 15 feet (or to your preference)
• Maximum equipment length: 25 feet (or up to 30 feet, depending on your preference)

Benefits

• Maximize space utilization
• Keep larger lots available for larger RVs
• Improve guest satisfaction by ensuring better fit
• Reduce booking conflicts or the need for manual adjustments

You can customize these limits for each lot based on its actual size and your campground’s booking strategy.

Note

If the min and max length are not set, then the system will allow your online clients to place a RV of any size on the lot up to the max depth of the lot.

This means that if you have a lot that is 30 feet long and you do not set a min length then your clients can place a RV of any size on the lot up to 30 feet long. This could lead to smaller RVs taking up larger lots and leaving smaller lots unused.

How to Set Your Lot's Min/Max Length

There are two ways to set the min/max length for your lots:

Lot by Lot - You can set the min/max length for each lot individually.

Bulk Update - You can set the min/max length for multiple lots at once.

Setting Min/Max Length for a Lot

To set the min/max length for a lot, follow these steps:

• Navigate to Lots from the main menu.
• Select the lot you wish to edit by double clicking on the lot.
• Scroll down to the Online Min/Max Length section.
• Enter the Min Length and Max Length in feet.
• Ensure the feature is enabled by setting the switch On.

• Click Save.

  

Bulk Updating Min/Max Length for Multiple Lots

To set the min/max length for multiple lots, follow these steps:

• Navigate to Lots from the main menu.
• Select the lots/rows you wish to edit in the grid by selecting them using the Shift or Ctrl keys.
• Click the Bulk Update button located in the top right of the page.
• Then select the Online Min/Max Length from the drop down menu.
• When bulk updating the min/max length you'll also be required to set the lot depth. This is to ensure the min/max length is set correctly for the lot size.

• Click Save.

  

Viewing The Min/Max Length in the Grid

The grid will display the min/max length for each lot. You can quickly see if the lot has a min/max length set.

Viewing The Min/Max Length on the Booking Page

The min/max length will be displayed on the booking page when a client searches for a lot. This will inform the client of the min/max length that is set for the lot.

Note

If the min/max length is set for a lot, the client must filter available lots based on their equipment length during the booking process.

Only the lots that can accommodate the specified equipment length will be displayed. If the client does not apply the length filter, these lots will not appear on the booking page.

This ensures that your clients are matched with the right lot for their equipment size, helping to reduce booking errors and improve the overall experience.

Enabling the Booking Page Equipment Length Filter

The equipment length filter allows your clients to filter the lots based on their equipment length. This is usefull if you want your online booking page to allow clients to filter the lots based on their equipment length. This will help your clients find the right lot for their equipment size.

Note

If the minimum lot length is set for a lot, you must enable the equipment length filter on the booking page.

This allows your clients to filter lots based on their equipment length.

If the filter is not enabled, it will not appear on the booking page, and clients will not see the lots that have a minimum length requirement.

To enable the equipment length filter on the booking page, follow these steps:

• Navigate to Admin -> Campground Settings from the main menu.
• The select the Online Campground Settings tab.
• Then switch On the Equipment Length Filter. option.
• Click Save.

This will enable the equipment length filter on the booking page.

Reservation Invoice Min Max Details

The min/max length will be displayed on the reservation invoice when a client books a lot. This will inform the client of the min/max length that is set for the lot. If the lot does not have a min/max length set then the invoice will not display the min/max length.
